Shopping Locally

Orenco Station is a community that understands the benefits of shopping locally. The residents have a wide variety of products and services available to them, many of which are produced right in their own neighborhood. Buying locally is smart, convenient, and helps to support the health of your community. The return on money spent at a locally owned business supports the local economy in terms of income, jobs, tax benefits, and community contributions. Additionally, local businesses tend to use the services of other local businesses, thus attracting a variety of professional services to the community. Invest in your community by shopping locall and enjoy the benefits.

Black Sheep at Orenco

Our cozy shop has been serving the crafting community for just over two years. We sell many types of yarn, buttons, hooks and needles, patterns, and spinning supplies. We are located on the ground floor of one of the townhouses at Orenco Station.

We are open 10AM to 6PM daily, but we often extend our hours for evening workshops and special events.

Three families and 50 friends got together back in 1999 and decided to open a grocery store. Not just any grocery store, mind you, but one that carried everything from the essentials to the extraordinary. It had to be friendly, fun, neighborly and supportive of sustainable agriculture. So, on Leap Day, 2000, dreams and ideas gave way to our first store opening at Raleigh Hills.

As a locally owned business, we take pride in supporting local farms, ranches and other small businesses through our Home Grown program. The Home Grown symbol points out products from produce and meat to hand lotions and scented candles that come from local companies. So, you can support the local and regional economy with your dollars. And we can further our strong commitment to sustainable agriculture.
